SKYLIGHT INSTALLATION WARRANTY INFORMATION
Deliverables:
1. Once deposit is received the Vivid Skylights installation team will be in touch with in 3 business days to organise next available installation date that suits you.
2. As these are skylights the installation date is subject to weather conditions to ensure the safety of the installers working on a roof. If the weather is not favourable and needs to be postponed the installer will make contact with you as soon as possible to reschedule a new day of installation.
3. Where space is available to store our large skylights they will be delivered prior to the installation date in which we will advise the day that they will be delivered to your home.
4. It is the Client’s responsiblity to have the area or room where skylight installation is taking place to be completely clear of all furniture and decor etc, prior to installers arriving onsite. If large furniture can’t be removed from area or room it is the Client’s responsiblity to take adequate precautions to move it to one side and cover with drop sheets etc to protect these large items. Vivid Skylights takes no responsiblity for items left in the work area or room.
5. Skylight installers provide dropsheets to protect floor coverings under the immediate work area only. Any further dust prevention systems is up to the Client to set up prior to installation.
6. If your quote is for full installation including plastering the process of installation will take approximately 1 week from start to finish, weather dependant. The first day the skylights will be installed with roof flashings to ensure it is water tight, second day the shaft of the skylight will be framed in the roof space ready for plaster installation. There might be a two to three days in-between the plaster installation as we need to allow for the possibility of the weather not working with us which may delay the installation of the skylights and or plumbing pipes/electrical cabling might need to be altered away from the skylight shaft. The plasterer will then hang and stop up the plaster so all that is needed is a light sand by the home owner/builder and then paint.
7. If a blind is being installed with the skylight the shaft is to be finished so that the full frame of the blind will be seen from underneath. This is done so it can be removed after installation if maintenance is required on the blind. If you require the blind frame to be hidden or only partially seen, please note if the blind is required to be removed for maintenance or is faulty, in this situation the plaster will need to be cut and repaired to which we will not be responsible for the rectification cost of the plastering if this was required.

Warranty Claims:
Vivid Skylights warrants the workmanship of our skylight installations conducted by employees and contractors for a period of 5 years from skylight leaks that are attributed to installation only.
In the event the Client makes a warranty claim, a Vivid Skylights representative will attend the site to assess the source of the problem only. If it is determined that the issue is not caused by the skylight but instead arises from the existing roof, other works, or conditions external to the skylight installation, a call-out fee of $295 applies.
This fee is payable via pre-authorization on the Client’s credit/debit card and must be secured prior to the inspection. If the claim is valid and found to be caused by the skylight itself, the call-out fee will be waived or refunded.
Where the Client expressly authorizes Vivid Skylights or its agents to perform temporary minor repairs that are not to do with the skylight during a warranty inspection or service call, such repairs will be limited to measures intended solely to mitigate immediate issues temporarily and may incurr additional costs to do the repair.
The Client acknowledges and agrees that:
These temporary repairs are not permanent solutions and do not constitute acceptance of responsibility for future or ongoing repair costs.
Vivid Skylights shall not be held liable for any failure, damage, or defects arising after the temporary repair, including any alleged improper performance of such repairs.
It is the Client’s sole responsibility to arrange for appropriate tradespersons to conduct any permanent or comprehensive repairs.
Any warranty coverage remains subject to all other terms, and this temporary repair authorization does not extend or alter the scope of the warranty.
Prior to commencement of temporary repairs, Vivid Skylights will obtain written or verbal authorization from the Client.
